The IFA Franchise Owner of the Year Award

March 1, 2022

Mike Weintz Takes Home IFA’s Franchisee of 2021!

Congratulations to The Cleaning Authority multi-location franchise owner, Mike Weintz for his International Franchise Association award. The IFA major awards are intended to publicly recognize individuals who have contributed the most to making franchising the acknowledged leader in distribution methods. Mike was nominated and awarded for his commitment to the community and workforce.

In Mike’s three different offices in Conrad, MO, Fairview Heights, IL, and Indianapolis South, IN he continues to give back to his community by contributing free cleanings for cancer patients through Cleaning For a Reason, since 2012. After slowly increasing the number of cleans each year, his office was the nation’s 6th highest provider in 2018, 2nd highest provider in 2019, and 3rd highest provider in 2020. They are currently 3rd highest YTD for 2021 with 22 completed patients and 5 more than they are currently servicing. Mike will end the year having provided 58 free cleans valued at $200 each to 27 cancer patients in the St. Louis area and 4 in the Indianapolis area. Even when the charity was hit by COVID-19 Mike continued his support through donations and contributions.

Mike’s company mission stands true in all three of his offices, “To improve the lives of our employees and their families.” As part of this, he has implemented an in-house training program for all of his staff members. This is a description of the training program from Mike:

“To this end, we want to help employees reach their full potential, whether that be with us or by moving on to better opportunities elsewhere. We developed an in-house learning curriculum called TCA-U (The Cleaning Authority University). We have all employees go through a 4-hour core curriculum (on paid time) designed to help improve “soft skills” not typically taught at a “job.” We offer an advanced curriculum for those interested in moving into supervisory positions (here or elsewhere) and multiple elective courses designed to improve skills needed to move out of an entry-level position (excel, faster keyboarding, improving written and verbal grammar, managing stress, overcoming fear, etc.).”

We are proud of Mike for his dedication to positively impacting the lives of every employee who walks through his doors, and we believe he is a great representation of community and workforce pillars in his The Cleaning Authority offices! These are the values that The Cleaning Authority continues to stand by which is why so many want to join part of the growing cleaning service industry. We want our franchise owners to build something they can be proud of and benefit from many years into the future. With our home cleaning franchise, you can invest in yourself and build a rewarding business.

"In my previous life when I was consulting I didn't have near the flexibility of my schedule that I have now. Now after growing the cleaning authority at the point where it is, I coach soccer. We do two practices a week for my girls team. I do one practice a week for my boys team. I can go to any school event that I want to. I can take time to go with teachers. I exercise most every day. I work hard but I can come and go on my own schedule. I no longer have to worry about paying for my children's education and we live a comfortable life and it's fun."

"As a female franchise owner, I've learned that success knows no gender. It's about determination, resilience, and the willingness to learn and adapt."
