Meet Our Franchisees: Jas and Taaj Grewal

Jaspreet and Amartaaj Grewal shared a life goal of owning and operating their own business while providing for their growing family.

Born and raised in England, Jaspreet obtained her degree in education from Bath University. Directly after her schooling, Jas went on to teach for a year and decided that her talents were better suited for other pursuits. Jas soon began a career in human resources with Foster Wheeler, an engineering company, where she sharpened her professional fundamentals and gained insight into how businesses are successfully run.

Raised in sunny San Diego, Taj obtained his bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After completing his education, Taj worked in engineering for five years at Lobardee until the software was bought out by IMB. In 2013, Taj decided to combine his entrepreneurial spirit with his professional expertise, founding his own software consulting company, Wythe Solutions.

By pure chance, Taj and Jas were introduced while vacationing in the same area and sparks flew. Within the next year, they got married and began to build a life together. With Taj’s success as a business owner and Jas’s background in human resources, the two began their search for an additional business venture that would accommodate their growing family. While looking at franchises such as The UPS Store and restaurant brands, the newlyweds realized they could not balance their time adequately between their new family and these potential business ventures.

While researching potential opportunities online, Taj and Jas came across The Cleaning Authority as the perfect service brand to pursue. Although the open territory was an hour away, they respected the brand’s business model and organization, so they made the decision to expand the cleaning brand into League City, TX.
