Meet Our Franchisee: Doug and Sally Entrekin

March 15, 2016

After a 32-year career in the oil industry and travel to countries including Brazil and Singapore over the last few years, Doug and Sally Entrekin are turning to franchise business with The Cleaning Authority in order to maintain a home base in Katy, TX.

“As oil prices were selling out, we decided to go into business for ourselves in the Houston area,” they said. “We worked with a franchise consultant who introduced us to multiple brands and The Cleaning Authority was the obvious choice. We explored only franchises in the service industry and The Cleaning Authority’s leadership was very quick and responsive and they were efficient and informative on discovery days.”

Doug brings his strength of experience in the service industry. He has worked in the contract drilling business of the oil industry for 32 years and spent about 10 years in the Gulf of Mexico. I was a contract painter for 10 years of that as well. We were just in Brazil and then Singapore for the last three years of my work in the oil business.

Sally has dabbled with many home-based businesses over the years. She had a baking business for three years in Mississippi and now works part-time at Gateway Community College, a school for kids with learning differences, as a project assistant.

The Entrekins look forward to serving their community with the proven franchise model and support of The Cleaning Authority’s corporate structure.

"In my previous life when I was consulting I didn't have near the flexibility of my schedule that I have now. Now after growing the cleaning authority at the point where it is, I coach soccer. We do two practices a week for my girls team. I do one practice a week for my boys team. I can go to any school event that I want to. I can take time to go with teachers. I exercise most every day. I work hard but I can come and go on my own schedule. I no longer have to worry about paying for my children's education and we live a comfortable life and it's fun."

"As a female franchise owner, I've learned that success knows no gender. It's about determination, resilience, and the willingness to learn and adapt."
